With 18 individually designed bedrooms, a private lodge, and sweeping countryside views, this is a property with real character, ambition, and a deep commitment to seasonality and sustainability.
Our client is now seeking a skilled, motivated Chef de Partie who is passionate about ingredient-led cooking and excited by the opportunity to work with hyper-local produce, kitchen gardens, and a creative, values-driven culinary team. This is an excellent role for a chef who wants to grow, learn, and contribute to a destination dining experience.
This position is working 5/7 days, paying £31,000-£36,000 + Service charge (approx. £4K+)
Chef de Partie main duties:
- Run your designated section to an exceptional standard, ensuring consistency, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Support the Sous and Head Chef in delivering a distinctive, seasonal food offering rooted in local produce and sustainability.
- Work closely with local suppliers, growers, and producers, embracing the restaurant’s farm-to-fork ethos.
- Assist in the development of new dishes and seasonal menus, contributing ideas and creativity.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, allergen control, and food safety standards across your section.
- Help train and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and supportive kitchen culture.
- Contribute to the smooth running of service, demonstrating calmness, confidence, and teamwork.
- Support with stock rotation, waste management, and ordering for your section.
Required skills and experience:
- Passionate about fresh, seasonal, ingredient-led cooking with an interest in sustainability and local sourcing.
- Experience in a 2-rosette or similar high-quality independent establishment is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to run a section efficiently.
- Comfortable working across multiple styles, from refined dining to relaxed fire-grill menus.
- A team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and progress.
- Calm under pressure, with a commitment to consistency and high standards.
- Ideal for an experienced Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up.
