Process Engineer - Machining

Position:

This is a full-time role based at Aeromet International Worcester, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager. Working within the Process Engineering team to help ensure that machining processes are documented, trained and adhered to. This is an overview and does not capture all expected duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming of work on existing CNC machines (Matsuura MC-800VF, Haas VF2SSVT, Haas VF 6ss)
Ownership of manual machining area
Development of future capabilities
Project Management for development of new fixtures
Calibration control of existing fixtures
Development and control of Work Instructions and operator training
Ownership of scrap and improvements

General Duties:

Ensure work is carried out accurately, safely and in a timely manner.
Work in compliance with the companies Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Support the company in achieving site budgeted sales.
Complete training programs identified as applicable to your needs.
Promote the flow of production parts minimizing ‘downtime’.
Facilitate the company’s continuous improvement policy.

Training:

There is scope in this role for professional development and where required you will be provided with training in the following areas:

3D Scanning
3D Printing
Use of CAD software - CATIA

Skills & Qualifications:

The following skills are advantageous to this position:

Engineering degree.
Strong communication skills for working with suppliers, toolmakers, and multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing.
Good attention to detail.
Knowledge of machining or other aerospace manufacturing processes.
Qualifications related to the areas outlined in the training section.
Understanding of aerospace quality requirements; AS13100, AS9100, AS9145, AS9102
Non-conformance and Root Cause Corrective Action management
